The man of wood and sound ...
Martin Bretscher, guitarmaker from Fürth, does know like no other how to make perfect instruments from the finest selected woods.
As a guitarist he has built his own instruments while he was a carpenter cause of the costs and indivituality. So it's only a a matter of time before he started as a guitarmaker.
Employed in a guitar workshop in Mittelfranken he learnt the trade from scatch, worked night and day on his instruments and finally passed the exam as a professional guitarmaker with honour "Bundessieger".
After some time the new project "10 string guitar" was started and he also decided to study with Jose Romanillos in his workshop. Many things learnt and with so much ideas Martin Bretscher looked forward to get his "master of guitarmaker", so he built the well-known 10 string guitar with 24 frets for the diploma.
Currently Martin manages the workshop and is busy all the time, but once in a while he does projects with his friend Patrick Haupt to built never-seen new instruments.
